How to request public records under the Nebraska Public Records Law
From the Nebraska Attorney General's website:
Nebraska Public Records Statutes
Note the section regarding Requests for Access to or Copies of Public Records; Response Required in 4 Business Days specifies that a written request to the custodian of the record is required in order to receive a response.
Record requests can be sent to the contact for the department (listed on the left side of this page). There are no special forms required for records requests.
If you are unsure which department the request belongs to, the Attorney's Office will accept all requests and forward them on to the proper department:
