Public Works/Roads Department

The Hall County Public Works/Roads Department is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure within the county, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.

This department ensures the safety and efficiency of transportation networks, manages traffic signs and signals, and oversees the implementation of road improvement projects across Hall County's 629 miles of gravel road, 184 miles of asphalt road and 427 bridges.

Additionally, we handle snow removal, road closures, and public safety initiatives related to road use, while operating within budgetary constraints and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding road/bridge conditions please call us at (308) 385-5126.
If the conditions are dangerous or hazardous (i.e. impassable bridge, chemical spill on roadway, etc.) please call 911.
