Passport acceptance is also available at the Buffalo County Clerk of the District Court (308-236-1246) in Kearney and the Adams County Clerk of the District Court (402-461-7264) in Hastings. It is recommended that you call these offices to check their office hours and if appointments are needed.
Mission Statement: To serve U.S. citizens intending international travel and to protect the integrity of the U.S. passport as proof of U.S. citizenship at home and abroad.
What you need to obtain a passport
- Application from Passport Acceptance Office or on Internet.
- One passport picture sized to U.S. Department of State Size and Specifications.
- Proof of Citizenship (birth certificate, naturalization certificate, or previous adult passport).
- Proof of Identity (driver's license or parent's driver's license for ages under 16).
Fees must be paid separately for each applicant. Please call if you have any questions.
No cash, no debit or credit cards will be accepted.

How do I renew a passport?
Get renewal applications from Passport Acceptance Office or on Internet. NOTE: If you choose to download an application from the internet, make sure it is from the official U.S. DEPARTMENT of STATE - BUREAU of CONSULAR AFFAIRS .
Important information regarding child passports
If obtaining a passport for a youth under 16 years of age both parents must sign the application, or meet certain other requirements.
