The Hall County Child Support Office operates to protect children’s rights to accessing reasonable support from a non-custodial parent. It accomplishes this task by establishing paternity, establishing child support, and/or enforcing child support orders that have previously been established. The majority of State-involved court hearings are conducted before the Child Support Referee.

The Hall County Child Support Office takes no position regarding child custody or visitation and cannot assist either parent in seeking custody or visitation. Parents are encouraged to speak with a private attorney regarding these issues.

The Hall County Child Support Office cannot give legal advice to either parent as it does not represent either parent; rather, it only represents the best interests of the child or children in the pursuit of reasonable financial support.
